FIRST PART OF DOCTOR WHO ADVENTURE FANFIC THINGEE

Allison Jones walked out of the newspaper office in a rush. She had been rejected once again. No paper business in all of London had accepted her articles, and whenever she tried to write one online, the article was never accept. It wasn’t that she was a bad writer. No… Every time someone else read her articles, they loved it. In fact her Great Grandpa Wilfred, always told her she was one of the best writers he had ever met. But the newspaper companies and blogs didn’t think so.  She grumbled to herself as she pulled out her mobile-phone and phoned Grandpa Wilfred. Grandpa Wilfred was always there for her and supportive of her in everything she did. He would be able to help her feel better.
“Ello?” He asked when he picked up the phone.
Allison smiled when she heard his voice, “Ello, Grandad.”
Wilfred’s voice perked up, “Oh! Ello Allison! How’d it go?” He asked, sounding a little anxious and concerned.
Allison sighed, “Well, they turned me away… Again.” She stopped at a crosswalk and waited for the cars to pass. “Maybe you were wrong… Maybe being a journalist is not for me…”
Wilfred was silent for a few seconds, then he answered. “I am sorry, sweetheart… But just because a few newspaper places turn you away, doesn’t mean you need to give up what you love!”
Allison smiled as she walked across the road. “I know that, Grandad! But I really hate the feeling of…” She froze gaping across the street at a police box in an alleyway, a police box that had smoke coming from between the door.
Wilfred’s worried voice came over the phone, “Something wrong Alli?”
“I’m sorry Grandad, I got to go; some bloke is torching a police box!” She hurried said into the phone as she ran across the street.
“Did you say police box!?” Wilfred said as she hung up.
Allison went to the box and started banging on the door. “Oi! What’re you doing in there? Smoking?”
A young teenager opened the door to the police box and stepped out. “For your information…” He stopped and made a funny face. “American accent? Oh…” He looked at Allison. “Do you have a mirror?”
Allison gave him a weird look. “Yeah?” She reached in her bag and pulled out a mirror.
He grabbed the mirror and looked at his face. “OH! YES! I am not ginger anymore!” He looked at his  face. “Oh Crap! I am a teenager? How the heck did I become a teenager? Teenagers aren’t cool!”
Allison gave him a look, “Have you been drinking kid? Or are you just plain looney? Either way there’s a hospital down the street.”
The teenager glared, “Don’t call me looney! I am perfectly sane!” He scratched his head. “At least I think I am…” He looked down at his clothes. “Oh goodness… These clothes looked better on me when I was ginger…
Allison shook her head. “You know what, you’re daft. So I am just gonna walk away and leave you here in crazyland.”
The young kid frowned, “FINE! Be like that!”
Allison turned and stomped off.
Allison growled as she walked away from the strange kid she found with the police box. She had almost considered calling the police on the kid, but he was probably harmless. Crazy people seemed to bloom around London these days.
She was about to go into a coffeeshop when she heard a scream and several harsh barks and then “HELP ME!”
Allison looked down into the alley and saw a little girl in a blue dress surrounded by angry barking dogs. The girl was terrified and crying. Allison looked around for someone to help, but there was no one nearby. She started down the alley toward the dogs, picking up a broken broomstick she saw lying by one of the dumpsters.
“HEY!” She yelled as she got close enough to hit them with it. She knocked one of them in the face giving it a huge bruise. The dogs all looked at Allison slightly stunned for a second.
The girl took the opportunity to run into Allison’s arms crying. “Help… They killed Jasper.” The little girl pointed to a body of a young boy hidden under a pile of trash. “Please don’t let them hurt me.” She cried.
Allison looked at the dogs who were now ticked and stalking towards, then back at the girl. “Go. Run. Don’t stop. Tell someone. Find help.”
The little girl didn’t waste time and ran down the alley as fast as she could.
Allison turned back to the dogs, as they began to circle her with doggie sneers on their face. “Stay back. Bad dogs!”
The one with the bruise on his face smirked, “Oh no. I was a naughty doggie. Does that mean I don’t get to sleep inside tonight?” The other dogs chuckled as they circled Allison.
Allison’s eyes widened. “Y-you talk? Oh gosh…” She saw that they were getting closer. She had to stall them, until someone could come by and help her. “Why did you kill the boy?”
The bruised dog licked his chops. “Simple. Dinner.” He looked at the other dogs. “Anyone in the mood for dessert?” The dogs got closer.
Allison had to keep stalling. They were gonna kill her. “Oh! I love dessert! Especially cake. I had some at my aunts wedding. Very good stuff, you ever tried it?”
The dogs cocked their heads and looked at each other. “No…” “I don’t think so…” “I actually got to eat icing once.”
The bruised dog glared at her. “She’s trying to distract us.” The others growled and got even closer.
Allison chuckled nervously, “Oh… darnit. That should’ve lasted longer…” She closed her eyes, having a feeling she was going to die.
“Hey!” She opened her eyes to see the boy from the police box just standing there waving. “Hello! What are you doggies doin? Dontcha know it’s not nice to attack little girls.”
Allison groaned, “Not this guy…”
“She wouldn’t be the first girl. The bruised dog nodded at the other dogs, “Change of plans boys.” He nodded, “Him first. Then the girl. Gives her a chance to run, and it will make killing her even more fun.”
The dogs growled and charged toward the strange teen.
Allison closed her eyes so she wouldn’t see the guy die. All of a sudden she felt a hand grip her arm. She opened her eyes to see the strange boy standing next to her. She started then looked at the end of the alley at the other him. She saw him flicker and disappear as the dogs jumped at him. She looked back at him, “What?!”
The bruised dog turned, “We’ve been tricked boys. Get em!”
The boy smiled and grabbed her hand, “Run.”
Allison didn’t need to be asked twice. She ran for her life. She turned to the boy. “What the hell is going on here?” She could hear the barking and could tell the dogs were still on their tail. “Those dogs killed someone!”
The kid turned to look behind him. “Those aren’t dogs. We have to get to my box. We’ll be safe in there…” He winced, “Well as safe as you can get around me.”
Allison gave the boy a look but she didn’t stop running, “What are you going on about!?”
The boy gave her a serious look, “Just trust me. We need to get to my blue box. NOW.” They kept running, hearing the dogs still chasing them from behind, until they could see the blue box. “There it is!” They reached the blue box and the boy pulled a key out of his pocket and tried to unlock the door.
Allison turned. “They’re getting closer!” She was annoyed at this kid. He acted so clever, it was sickening.
“I KNOW!” He yelled as the door opened and he pulled her inside the box.
She stared at the door as she heard the dogs, or not dogs, ram into it, trying to get in. “What the heck is going on?” She turned around to yell at the strange American kid… and stopped to look at the large interior, which really should NOT have been there. “WHAT ON…”
“The boy stood in front of the controls. “Go ahead and say it. Everyone does.” He smiled a clever smile.
Allison backed against the door. “OH MY GOSH. It’s an alien spaceship!”
The boy’s clever smile faltered. “Okay… That one is new.” He pulled a lever on the controls and Allison felt a jolt and heard a loud noise.
“Who are you? What the hell is going on?!” She said keeping her distance from the kid. “Are you an alien?”
The kid rolled his eyes, “Gosh! Slow down redhead. One at a time. I’m the Doctor, I really have no idea how to explain what is going on because it’s all just so exciting, and yes I am an alien.”
Allison narrowed her eyes, “You? A doctor? Doctor who? What could an alien teenager possibly be a doctor of?”
The Doctor sighed, “No it’s just the Doctor. And I like to say I specialize in weird stuff. AND FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS TIMEY WIMEY I AM NOT A TEENAGER. Do I look like a teenager to you?” He put his hands on his hips.
Allison gave him a long look. “Um… Yes you actually do.”
The Doctor gave her a blank look. “Oh! Right. Gotta get used to the new body…” He shook his head. “Anyway. I am a Timelord. I come from the planet Gallifrey. I am so old that I lost count somewhere around 5,000. Is there anything else I should tell you?”
Allison looked around the weird alien spaceship. “Where are we?”
The Doctor smiled, “It’s called the Tardis. I can use it go anywhere and anytime. I’ve taken it to the end of the world and back. Anywhere you wanted to go I could take you, as long as I don’t break any rules. If I did that time would rupture causing all sorts of bad stuff.”
Allison looked around again, “Wow… That’s amazing.”
The Doctor smiled, “Yes I like to think it is…” He cocked his head at her. “I am sorry… totally forgot to ask your name.”
Allison smiled and stuck out her hand. “Allison Jones. I am… trying to be a journalist.”
The Doctor chuckled, “Well you picked a helluva day for that Allison Jones. Talking dogs that are really aliens.” He got up and walked out of the main room. “Just need to get out of my ginger clothes… and burn them… Don’t touch anything.”
Allison nodded and waited until the boy was out of the room to get up and look around. She walked up to the controls. They looked very confusing. She didn’t touch them though. She just continued walking around. She saw a little table on the far side of the room with a big book on it. She walked over and opened it. There were pictures. Pictures of people, lots of them. She shut the book, wondering what the book exactly was.
“AHA!” She turned to see the Doctor had come back, and was wearing a tshirt and blue jeans, and holding a hoodie in one hand and a leather jacket in the other. “How do I look Allison!?” He grinned.
Allison smirked, “Like an American teenager, Doctor.”
He narrowed his eyes at her. “Haha. Hilarious. Should I wear the Leather jacket or the hoodie? I can’t decide. You know what? I’ll take turns. Leather Jacket.” He slipped on the leather jacket. “Okay. Now I am ready to save the world.” He walked toward the door.
Allison stepped in front of him. “Wait! They’re still out there!”
The Doctor gave her a look and pushed the door open. “Oh are they?”
She looked outside and saw that they were on the other side of London. “What?”
The Doctor stuck his tongue out. “What part of ‘anywhere in time and space’ did you not get?” He smiled and stepped out of the Tardis.
Allison stepped out behind him and closed the door. “So… what are we doing?”
The Doctor looked around. “Well… We got to find where the dogs are meeting. Obviously they are becoming more organized.”
Allison cocked her head. “Wait. I thought you said they aren’t dogs?”
The Doctor turned, “They aren’t. They are aliens.” He turned to Allison. “From Canis Major. They call themselves the Canoreans. They are quite carnivorous… I wasn’t really aware that any were on Earth…” He looked up worried. “If they are though… They will kill all of us…”
Allison looked around. “Okay… Bad. Very very bad…” She thought for a second. “If they have been here, they must have had a way of getting here, correct?”
The Doctor clapped and turned toward. “Brilliant! I like the way you think Allison Jones. They would need a place for central organization. But where… How would we find it?”
Allison shrugged. “Well… where would you park a ship where it wouldn’t be obvious and no one would notice it and a bunch of dogs could get there easily…”
Suddenly the sound of barking drew Allison’s attention to an abandoned pound across the street. “Umm… Doctor?”
The Doctor put his hand up. “Not now Allison, I am trying to think… which is hard because of all the barking.”
Allison crossed her arms and glared at him.
He looked at her, “What?”
She nodded at the abandoned pound. “Why don’t we go check out that abandoned pound?”
The Doctor’s eyes widened, “Ooooooooooooh! RIght! Knew that. Very clever!” He walked across the street to the pound and tried the door. “Locked…”
Allison followed. “There has to be a way in.”
The Doctor turned and smiled at her. “Of course there is.” He took a funny looking device out of his pocket and activated it. Then he tried the door. It opened with a push.
Allison stared at the device. “What is that?”
The Doctor threw it in the air and caught it again. “Sonic screwdriver. Very useful.”
Allison frowns. “Why not just get a sonic blaster or something? Shoot all the bad guys…”
He made a face. “Oh no. I hate guns. Everyone seem to think that guns solve violence…” He shook his head and walked into the pound.
The hallway was really dark. Allison took a mini flashlight out of her bag and shined it on the walls. She stopped as she saw something on the wall and gasped. “Doctor…”
The Doctor turned to look at the wall. They were covered with scratches. Very large scratches and bloodstains covering the side of the wall. He took out his sonic screwdriver and scanned the wall with it, and then looked at the readings. He looked at Allison grimly. “Its human blood… We are headed in the right direction.” He put it back in his pocket and looked down the hall. The barks got louder as they neared the end of the hallway.
The Doctor looked around the corner. There were a bunch of dogs. A BUNCH. They were fighting over the most recent corpse. He looked the other direction and saw that the hallway ended with a strange looking door. He turned to Allison and pointed at the door and put the finger over his lips then whispered, “Listen to me… There is a door. I can open it with my sonic screwdriver… but there are also a bunch of dogs at the other end of the hallway. When I activate the screwdriver… they will hear and come in for the kill. So we have to be quick, clever, and most importantly…” He put a finger over his lips. “Quiet.”
Allison nodded as he walked into the hallway quietly while turning to look at the Canoreans. He gestured for her to follow. She stepped quietly into the hallway and followed the Doctor to the door. They looked at each other then at the sonic screwdriver. They counted down on their fingers to three and the Doctor activated the sonic screwdriver.
The instant he activated the sonic, the Canoreans turned and growled at them. Their leader, a Chihuahua, barked. “Humans trying to get in. Tear them apart!” They lunged toward their prey.
The Doctor ran the screwdriver along the sides of the door. “Comeoncomeoncomeon!”
The Canoreans were halfway down the hall. Allison turned to the Doctor. “Doctor!”
“Got it!” The door slid open and they ran through. The Doctor turned and activated the screwdriver again and the door started to close. Then a giant Rottweiler’s head got stuck in the door. It growled and snapped at them with huge, razor-sharp teeth. “WHOA!” The Doctor said stepping back. “Definitely not a dog.”
Allison screamed and hit the dog on the nose. To their relief, the Canorean pulled it’s head out of the doorway and the door closed completely. They could hear it whimpering slightly.
The Doctor turned to her. “Could you have been anymore louder?! The whole place probably heard you!”
Allison turned around and gasped. “I don’t think so…”
He glared at her then turned to look at what she was gaping at. “Oh…” They were in a room filled with cages.
Allison walked up to one of the cages and put her hand in front of it to have it licked by a friendly doggie tongue. “These are all filled with dogs. Real dogs.”
The dog in the cage whimpered and put his paw against the cage and whimpered.
The Doctor scanned it with his sonic screwdriver. “They are, and by the looks of it… Over half the dogs in London are in here! They must have been working on this for months!”
Allison frowned. “Don’t worry little guy… We’re gonna get you out of here.”
“Are you sure it wasn’t just one of the mutts?”
“No I am absolutely certain I can hear and smell human.”
The Doctor and Allison traded glances, and the Doctor put a finger to his lips. He nodded to the corner where the line of cages ended.
Allison whispered to the Doctor, “What do we do? These dogs are obvious not man's best friend… I mean aliens…”
The Doctor put his finger to his lips. “They're getting closer. We need to hide.”
Allison turned around to look for a hiding spot. She spotted a closet behind them and pulled the Doctor into it. “Here. The Doctor closed the door behind them keeping it open a crack so they could see outside.
“I don't see any humans, Steve. You been eating shoes again?”
“I am telling you, they are here...”
The Canoreans passed by the door and Allison almost gasped. These weren't like the others. The others were likely in disguise… These were more muscular and it looked like their skin was made up of their muscles instead of fur, and they were blue. Allison had never seen anything like this before.
“Steve… Just lay off the shoes. You have human on the brain. C'mon. We have to get back before the Alpha has our tails for messing around.”
“Fine. But when a human pops out of nowhere, I was right and the Alpha'll have your tail for that.”
The Doctor held his breathe until he was sure they were gone. “Okay… I think it's safe.” He opened the door and some light into the closet.
Allison looked around and saw a spray-can of air freshener. She grabbed it.
The Doctor rolled his eyes, “Oh look out! Allison Jones fights the Canoreans with Lysol disinfectant.”
Allison nudged him, “Oh yeah? What about you and that bloody… What is a that? An alien screwdriver?”
“It's a SONIC screwdriver!”
“Oh that's just brilliant! What are gonna do? Open a door at them?!”
“Shut up!”
“You watch your mouth alien brat!”
The Doctor growled and walked to where the Canoreans came out from. “Just come along.”
“We're going in there?”
“Yes we're going in there.”
“Why are we heading towards all the carnivorous aliens? Should we be calling someone? Like UNIT? A dog catcher? Or I don't know, maybe my psychologist?!”
“You can call Arnold Schwarzenegger, for all I care. Just stay near me!” He opened the door and to Allison's shock walked right into the middle of a circle of rather dangerous looking Canoreans. These were bigger than the two they had seen. But the biggest about as big as the building itself. “Hello Canoreans!” He said as if he were greeting his loyal fans.
Allison managed to stay directly behind him. She looked around. Most of the Canoreans looked stunned at the young man who had walked almost fearlessly into their meeting. She noticed several pads at the back of the room where Canoreans were being materialized, and that they too had stopped to look at them. “Doctor… this was a bad idea…”
“Shut up, I am doing a thing…” He muttered back. He looked at the biggest and smiled. “Hey. What's up! I am the Doctor… DANGIT! I even talk like a teenager now…” He turned to Allison, “I was so used to the English accent, now I have to say boring words like colorful… NO U! How crazy is that!? The U makes it much more interesting.”
“What is the meaning of this intrusion puny humans?” The big Canorean, who Allison could only assume was the Alpha, boomed.
The Doctor put his hand up to stop the Alpha. “Whoa! I am insulted by your assumption!”
“Doctor!” Allison nudged him hard. “Don't make the big thing angry!”
The Canorean looked extremely confused. “Explain yourself, child. Who are you?”
The Doctor took a step closer to the Alpha. “The real question that needs answering is why the Canoreans are on Earth. Wait… Don't tell me that your just here for the squeaky toys?”
“YOU DARE INSULT ME? My servents and I will pick your bones clean, human or alien. Then we will feast  on all the inhabitants of this world.”
“Ah but you see, I can't let you do that. This world and every single person on it, including the ones that your race has already killed are under my protection. And you've spilled their blood for sport, which means you and your entire race now have two choices. Leave the earth, or I will stop you.”
“What can one human youth do to stop an entire race of warriors?”
The other Canoreans edged closer to Allison and the Doctor. “Doctor…”
“I know Allison.” The Doctor looked the Alpha in the eyes. “I am not a human youth. I am a timelord from the planet Gallifrey. You aren't the first race here to destroy this world. The Sontarans, the Daleks, the Nestene, the Cybermen. Races that have came here for reasons not unlike your own, that ran from here in terror and defeat. And I stopped them all. I am the Doctor! Look me up.” Sirens started going off everywhere as Allison saw several faces appear on the screen, some older looking others younger looking. But she didn't get the chace to look at them as the Doctor dragged her away to the panels in the back.
“GET THEM” The alpha roared. “The Doctor is a threat to our plans. Tear him to pieces and the girl too!”
The Doctor took his sonic screwdriver and messed with the panel. “Close your eyes Allison.”
Allison did and she began to feel a tingling sensation about her. “We're being teleported.”

The Doctor grabbed her hand, “Very smart. Open your eyes now. We have to run.”
